We made this one as a part of a series for our friend’s music school’s holiday party. The conventional way to write promotional text is to omit the subject and just have verbs and vampire algorithm bait lexicon terms but I don’t like that and just write what I’m thinking while I write it. That’s how I make these birdhouse works of art too. This one is cedar for the body of the house and redwood fence board for the roof. We wanted to have a more affordable option so we decided to forego applying a bee’s wax finish, and affixing a finger joint base. The result is simple and raw, but still beautiful and evocative of nature. And we still saved wood that otherwise would have been wasted. The peak of the roof is just short of sixteen inches. The low part of the roof is thirteen and a quarter inches. The width and depth are both three and three quarter inches.
